The Lord is My Pacesetter

How’s your first week of September kicking off?

In our part of the world, school begins tomorrow…

Excitement about seeing friends and meeting the new teachers.

Earlier bedtimes. Lunches. Backpacks.

Team sports. Dance. Swim Club. Music lessons. Church clubs. Homework.

Living in joy and intention, no matter our age and stage of life.

You may be the Mom dealing with all of the above.

You may be the Grandma.

You may be the Foster Mom.

You may be the Nanny.

We all have roles to fill which carry responsibilities.

I found this reading hanging on a bulletin board at Prairie Bible College (it was called PBI in those days).I was a first year student and overwhelmed by assignments and reading and life at college.

I copied it down and God helped me to take another step in learning to turn to Him for my strength and focus, rather than dwelling on my circumstances. I have referred back to it many times over the years.

IMG_6347I am asking God to bring peace to your day and to this week of adjustments back to routine and busier family life.

I pray that it will be a blessing and not a burden…

Love you, Colleen
